A solicitor with nearly 25 years experience in all aspects of criminal work. He has practised in the Hereford area since 1990 and has expertise in Environmental Pollution defence work, as well as Agricultural defence work with agencies such as MAFF and the Water Authorities. He also specialises in Health and Safety and has considerable experience in advising clients and representing their interests in both the Police station and at Court.

His portfolio includes representation of criminal clients for anything from motoring offences to murder, rape and substantial drugs conspiracies and fraud cases. He has also worked with Operation Ore, involving the police national investigation into internet child pornography. He recently defended the largest animal cruelty case brought in the Gloucestershire area.

He also has many years of experience as a residential conveyancer and has a large business clientele.

An experienced family law solicitor who has considerable experiences in all aspects of family disputes including advice on financial dispute resolution, pension transfer and acquisition, divorce contact and residence issues.

Oversees probate matters including estate work preparation of wills and advice on estate distribution.

Having obtained a science degree and worked for British Steel Chris became a solicitor, qualifying in 1989. He has practised in Gloucestershire and Oxford, as well as Hereford.

A very capable advocate specialising in all aspects of criminal work including advice and assistance on mental health issues, prison law, trading standards and licensing law.

He is a leading expert on motoring matters and has an extensive portfolio of cases including defence of rape, murder conspiracies and major drug offences.

Chris is a member of the approved Legal Services Comission court duty solicitor and 24 hour rota police station schemes, in the process of acquiring higher rights of audience.

An experienced matrimonial lawyer capable of dealing with all aspects including divorce, financial disputes, pension transfer acquisition as well as contact and residence issues. He also has a huge amount of experience dealing with will and probate issues.

Matt is from Winchester in Hampshire and trained as a Magistrates Court Legal Advisor before qualifying as a solicitor. He started in private practise as a defence solicitor in 2001 and quickly established himself in Hereford by successfully defending his first ten trials. He later qualified as Police Station and Magistrates’ Court Duty Solicitor before heading up the criminal department at his former firm before joining CRL as a partner in 2006.

He continues to devote himself to Legal Aid and private client criminal defence work and maintains a position on the Duty Solicitor scheme. Matt is experienced in all types of criminal defence work and continues to maintain an excellent success rate in his trials.

Matt is our Staff Partner and is therefore responsible for all staff. He also shares responsibility for case management, particularly in relation to the work carried out in the police station, Magistrates Court and the Crown Court.
