Representation at the Crown Court
Serious criminal cases are handled by the Crown Court, and facing charges there can be stressful and overwhelming
It is of particular importance, when appearing before the Crown Court, that you have specialist representation.
We represent clients before the Crown Court charged with the most serious Criminal Offences. We prepare your case comprehensively, in accordance with your instructions, seeking, at all times, to secure for you the best outcome that can be achieved.
We are the only Criminal Law firm in Herefordshire who have as part of their team an in-house Barrister
Mark Thompson, the Head of Crime and a Partner at the firm, has extensive experience representing vulnerable clients in some of the most serious cases. His dedication to understanding their unique challenges and providing tailored legal support makes him a trusted advocate in high-stakes situations.
We also have an excellent relationship with Barristers Chambers. We only instruct Barristers on your behalf who we know and trust and have proved themselves over many years of representing our clients.
Access Legal Aid for Your Crown Court Case
Eligibility for Legal Aid is based upon a means and merits test. This means that in order to be granted Legal Aid your case must be sufficiently serious/complex, and your income must be below a certain threshold in order for the Legal aid Agency to meet the costs of your case. If granted Legal Aid in the Crown Court you may, depending upon your income, have to pay a contribution to your Legal Aid yourself. We are happy to discuss your eligibility for Legal Aid and make the application on your behalf.
As daunting as appearing before the Crown Court can seem, we will do all that we can to represent your interests and prepare you case.
