We hold Legal Aid Contracts with the Legal Aid Agency in Family Law
This means we are able to represent clients, subject to their eligibility for Legal Aid, in respect of the following areas of Law
Care Proceedings
If you are the parent or other person with parental responsibility of a child subject to Care Proceedings issued by the Local Authority, you are automatically eligible for Legal Aid. There is no means or merits test. You do have to be represented by a firm holding a Civil Legal Aid Contract with the Legal Aid Agency.
PLO Proceedings
If you are the parent or other person with parental responsibility of a child subject to PLO Proceedings issued by the Local Authority, you are automatically eligible for Legal Aid, known as Legal Help. There is no means or merits test. You do have to be represented by a firm holding a Civil Legal Aid Contract with the Legal Aid Agency.
Domestic Violence & Protective Orders of the Court
Legal Aid is available in cases where you or your children have been the subject of Domestic Violence.
